Should Singapore continue to attract more foreign talents?

This house believe that Singapore should continue to attract more foreign talents to stay competitive in the world as we are ranked 2nd most competitive country for 2nd consecutive time.

no Singapore should have their own style and not let other foreign talents to change our style.

HOHO. but without this foreign talents and singapore's population is decreasing. lesser working population-> how to boost economic growth?

so. I think still must attract foreign talents and on the other hand they also can impart or share the knowledge and skills from their country with singaporeans too. hahas. therefore it's quite a good thing too!^^

singaporeans should juz give birth to more babies..
den stop complaining about the foreign talents..
why singapore needs foreign talents could be due to the insufficient knowledge..
but the way singapore's education works..
it juz doesnt really seem to work..
singaporeans are not securing high paying jobs locally..
so.. my point is mainly..

Yes, Singapore should attract foreign talents.
It is because today, there are not enough Singaporeans who have specialised skills that new jobs required. Hence, foreign talents are employed to fill in some high-technology jobs. This is to support the future growth of high-technology and high value-added economy in the country expected in an increasingly globalised world we live in. Therefore, attracting foreign talents help Singapore rise to the challenge of globalisation.

foreign talents is gd for country economy.... but singaporeans has always put giving birth on the shelves how to promote? do u wanna have more babies in the future? i doubt so too so how to increase singaporean babies?

ermmm....dis is debate nt qn..haha
aniways...having foreign talents is ok...
but we muz make sure tat the foreign talents do not run back to their own countries....
if so den having foreign talents would be utterly useless...
foreign talents help our economy...so we cnt totally bar them from entering....

there's good and bad for foreign talents in both ways .

the bad one is that this doesn't look like singapore already lol , it looks more like country that have huge hunger for people because it's citizens Bu zhen QI that's why it's like that .

Good thing is that they bring forth Knowledge that they know and pass it on to the people (if it's possbile la )

main point:
having foreign talents is good if they are helping out the economy..
but if you have all the foreign talents taking up the place in singapore..
talented singaporeans have to go overseas..
to boost OVERSEAS's ECONOMY..
which is why.. we are wasting our country's resources overseas..

so in order to boost our economy...
we muz have a balance of local talents and foreign talents...
so tat there will be no wastage of manpower and resources....

having foreign talent is both gd n bad..
they would bring in new skills and challenge for us and the country..
hmm...we cant denial tt they did help s'pore economic grow wat..

well in the first place s'pore got more n more foreign talent is coz singapore dont haf enough of talented ppl at some industries area..

This Issue i would say it's a Double Edge Sword that the government is using.

Pushing it's Citizens to work Hard so that they won't lose out to the Foreign Talents In terms of job position but at the same time this Foreign talents Start off new business or make new discoveries in Singapore making the country Proud.

What Would really hurt is that when the Citizens are not pushed at all to work hard but instead been Spoiled from small given the House teaching in some of the families eg. kids playing games all day long not knowing what's happening to singapore or the world's Activity, etc ,etc . are Things that we see around us and Everywhere. Half of the young Citizens that are growing up getting more and more spoiled from what i even heard is that. A man at a Age of 20 and over would still be at home expecting himself to be Served like the emperor of China while the Parents would slog their guts out working to give them money.

Yeah something like that , i'm not sure what i say have factual Proof a not but that's what i saw and hear through my ears in some specific Percentage of the young population

actually, farris can't use that, im not joking but without our foreign nationals, we won't have all our flats and building, and china internationals too . Singapore should continue to attract because it helps the economy, and I agree with Deyi =D
